European Bread


  • 1 LoafNest


  • 430 g Bread Flour
  • 1.3 g Instant Yeast
  • 9 g Sea Salt
  • 350 mL Warm water


  • Thoroughly mix the flour, yeast, and salt
  • Add the water
  • Knead until well mixed
  • Put in an oiled bowl in a warm place and cover for 12-18 hours.
  • Sprinkle the top of the dough with flour. Press down the dough.
  • Wait 1 hour
  • Begin preheating your LoafNest or Dutch Oven at 450°F
  • Wait 1 hour
  • Remove the LoafNest from the oven. Insert the liner. (If using a Dutch oven, line with parchment paper)
  • Flip the oiled bowl upside down, using one hand to catch the dough. Place the dough into the LoafNest.
  • Cut a line down the middle of the dough with a sharp knife
  • Cover the LoafNest and bake for 45 minutes
  • Remove the lid
  • Bake for an additional ~10 minutes, until it looks the right color
