Shnytsli (Ukrainian meat patty)

Ingredients

  • 2.5 lb Beef (or pork, veal, or chicken)
  • 1 Clove garlic
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Squirt Ketchup
  • Parsley
  • 1/2 Finely chopped onion
  • 1 Slice Sandwich bread
  • Milk
  • Plain breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Soak bread in milk + water, squeeze excess
  • Mix meat, garlic, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup,parsley, onion, and bread
  • Add breadcrumbs until appropriate moistness
  • Set electric frying pan to 350°F (turn it down if things burn). Add vegetable oil.
  • Form meat into patty. Coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Cook 6 minutes on each side
